A New Chapter for My Little Doll World

I started my doll-making journey in my late thirties or early forties, and now, in just a few weeks, I’ll be turning 62. Where did the time go? I’ve been thinking about this for a very long time, and I’ve finally made the decision to retire all of my doll patterns.

For many years, creating patterns has been a big part of my work, and I'm so grateful to everyone who has purchased them, created their own dolls, and shared in this journey with me. I also carry a very special place in my heart for my dear friend, Edna Bridges, who taught me everything I know about pattern making. Edna passed away in 2023 at the age of 82, and I miss her more than words can say. So much of what I learned from her became part of this journey, and I'll always be grateful for her friendship, her knowledge, and the time we shared. Your support over the years has meant more than you know.

But sometimes, we reach a point in life when we feel the need to return to the things that first made our little hearts happy. For me, that means returning to the freedom of creating one-of-a-kind dolls, following my imagination, experimenting with materials, and allowing each new idea to take me wherever it may lead.

Pattern making has served me well, but I feel it’s time to close that chapter and make room for a new one.

All of my patterns will remain available through October 30, 2026
, after which they will be retired and removed from my shop. If there are any you’ve been wanting to add to your collection, you have two weeks left to purchase them.

Please know that I am not closing my Etsy shop!  I’ll continue creating and selling my one-of-a-kind art dolls on Etsy. I’m looking forward to rediscovering the creative freedom that comes from making each doll its own little character, with its own personality and story.

Thank you for being part of this journey with me. I’m excited to see where this next chapter takes me, and I hope you’ll continue to follow along as I return to the kind of creating that first captured my heart.

With love and gratitude,

❤️ Brenda
